Vitalik Buterin donated ~$665.8M nominal value in SHIB tokens to FLI in 2021. Approximately $500M was realized after liquidation. The majority of funds were transferred to a donor-advised fund and eventually capitalized the Future of Life Foundation (FLF), a sister organization. FLI transferred $58.8M to FLF across 2022-2024.
