- Act
The Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended ( [52 U.S.C. §§30101-30146](https://www.fec.gov/data/legal/statutes/)). 11 CFR [100.18](https://www.fec.gov/regulations/100-18/CURRENT#100-18). Prior to September 1, 2014, the Act appeared in Title 2 of the U.S. Code. Sometimes abbreviated FECA.

- Adapted disclaimer
A clear statement that the internet public communication is paid for, and that identifies the person or persons who paid for the internet public communication using their full name or a commonly understood abbreviation or acronym by which the person or persons are known, which is accompanied by: an indicator and a mechanism. It must satisfy the requirements of 11 CFR [110.11(c)(1), (c)(5)(ii) and (iii)](https://www.fec.gov/regulations/110-11/CURRENT#110-11).

- Administrative expense
