The Seoul Declaration confirms a shared understanding of the opportunities and risks posed by artificial intelligence (AI). It follows on the work of the [Bletchley Declaration](https://www.industry.gov.au/publications/bletchley-declaration-countries-attending-ai-safety-summit-1-2-november-2023).
Ten countries and the European Union signed the Seoul Declaration at the AI Seoul Summit in South Korea on 21 May 2024. Twenty-seven countries and the European Union signed the Seoul Ministerial Statement on 22 May 2024.
