**Research interests.**
Computer security.
I am currently working on security for AI
(particularly security for large language models),
AI for security, and other topics in computer security.
I have previously worked on
[software security](https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~daw/research/ss/),
[electronic voting](http://accurate-voting.rice.edu/),
[wireless security](https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~daw/research/wireless.html),
[sensor network security](http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/), and
[applied cryptography](https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~daw/research/crypto.html).
**Projects.**
My group page is [here](http://wagner-group.github.io/).
I'm part of Berkeley's
[security research group](http://security.cs.berkeley.edu/),
a member of the
[ACTION Institute](https://action.ucsb.edu/),
and co-director of the KACST-UCB Joint Center on Cybersecurity.
I was previously co-PI or PI for
[SCRUB](https://web.archive.org/web/http://scrub.cs.berkeley.edu/),
the [Intel Science and\\
Technology Center for Secure Computing](https://web.archive.org/web/http://scrub.cs.berkeley.edu/),
and the [DHOSA](https://web.archive.org/web/20190109072138/http://www.dhosa.org/) project,
and I was a member of the

projects.
**Publications.** My [technical papers and\\
publications](https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~daw/papers/) are all available online.
**Teaching.**
I'm currently teaching
[CS 261 in Spring 2026](https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~daw/teaching/cs261-s26/).
See [my past teaching](https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~daw/teaching/).
**Students.**
I'm lucky to have the chance to work with a group of
outstanding graduate students, postdocs, and other researchers:
