**Gregory Brockman** (born November 29, 1987) is an American [entrepreneur](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrepreneur "Entrepreneur") and [software engineer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_engineer "Software engineer"). He is co-founder[\[2\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Brockman#cite_note-2) and president of [OpenAI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenAI "OpenAI").[\[3\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Brockman#cite_note-3) He began his career at [Stripe](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stripe,_Inc. "Stripe, Inc.") in 2010, upon leaving [MIT](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT "MIT"), and became [CTO](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chief_technology_officer "Chief technology officer")[\[4\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Brockman#cite_note-4) in 2013.
