 I am co-founder and CEO of Secure AI Project, where we develop and advocate for pragmatic policies to reduce risks of severe harm from advanced AI. Previously, I was an early employee at Open Philanthropy, where I served as a Program Officer in a variety of areas, including science philanthropy and machine learning, starting in 2014. More recently, I worked as Policy Lead at the Center for AI Safety and as CEO of the Future Fund, along with various consulting projects. I was also a research fellow at Oxford University's Future of Humanity Institute. I completed a bachelor's degree in mathematics and philosophy from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Philosophy at Rutgers University.
