# Buck Shlegeris

I work on existential risk reduction and [effective altruism movement building](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effective_altruism). I'm currently the CTO of [Redwood Research](https://docs.google.com/document/d/12RwJcALg913LM7Jp0PYlaZ48xYqm3tVJggJ-is53zjs/edit) and a fund manager on the [Effective Altruism Infrastructure Fund](https://funds.effectivealtruism.org/funds/ea-community).
Some fun projects I've worked on include the following:
[Search engine for data structures\\
](http://shlegeris.com/2016/11/13/ds)
[Software for solving physics problems\\
](http://physics.shlegeris.com/)
[A software agent illustrating some features of an illusionist account of consciousness (with Luke Muehlhauser).](https://www.openphilanthropy.org/software-agent-illustrating-some-features-illusionist-account-consciousness)
