University of Georgia — Malaria Research (2023)

[Human Health and Wellbeing] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $192,925 over three years to the University of Georgia to support research on Plasmodium vivax, which is one of the parasite species that causes malaria. This research will be supervised by Dr. Chester Joyner and conducted by a graduate student in his lab. This follows our September 2022 support and falls within our focus area of scientific research, specifically within our interest in advancing human health and wellbeing.
