$2.6M
Source
Notes

[Navigating Transformative AI] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $2,587,634 over three years to UC Berkeley to support Professor Jacob Steinhardt’s lab in purchasing compute. Steinhardt, his graduate students, and UC Berkeley affiliates will use the compute to conduct research related to AI safety. This follows our March 2022 support and falls within our focus area of potential risks from advanced artificial intelligence.
