Notes
[Human Health and Wellbeing] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $220,000 to Princeton University to support a project led by Alexander Ploss to develop a set of conditional “knockout mice”. These mutant mice will allow Dr. Ploss and his team to test the safety of inhibiting key host factors in the life cycle of hepatitis B virus (HBV). This is one of two grants we’re making to support Dr. Ploss’s research on HBV. This falls within our focus area of scientific research, specifically within our interest in advancing human health and wellbeing.
