Shrimp Welfare Project — General Support (2023)

[Farm Animal Welfare] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $2,000,000 over two years to the Shrimp Welfare Project. Focuses include installing stunners at major shrimp producers, reducing stocking density on shrimp farms in South Asia, and increasing industry awareness of shrimp welfare. This follows our September 2022 support and falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare.
