Notes
[Biosecurity & Pandemic Preparedness] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $1,250,000 over two years to the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) to support work on reducing global catastrophic biological risks. NTI works on several projects in this area; they advocate for governments to prioritize biological risks, advocate against biological weapons development, and develop methods to detect, prevent, and mitigate catastrophic biological events. This follows our May 2020 support and falls within our focus area of biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.
