Real Justice PAC — Criminal Justice Reform (October 2019)
Verified[Criminal Justice Reform] Grant investigator: Chloe Cockburn This page was reviewed but not written by the grant investigator. Real Justice PAC staff also reviewed this page prior to publication. Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $750,000 to Real Justice PAC for general support on criminal justice reform work. Real Justice PAC intends to use these funds to raise the profile of key prosecutor and sheriff races and elect reform-minded candidates supported by community groups and leaders. These candidates will work to safely reduce the number of people incarcerated in their jurisdictions. The funds were distributed to an account that is limited to work outside of California. This follows our April 2019 support and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
