[Biosecurity & Pandemic Preparedness] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $75,000 to the University of Birmingham to provide operational support for Dr. Nicole Wheeler’s lab. Wheeler's research focuses on biological threat detection across contexts, including genomic surveillance of emerging pathogens. This falls within our focus area of biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.
