Berkeley Existential Risk Initiative — Sculpting Evolution Collaboration

[Biosecurity & Pandemic Preparedness] Open Philanthropy recommended four grants totaling $451,571 over two years to the Berkeley Existential Risk Initiative to support their collaboration with Kevin Esvelt’s Sculpting Evolution group at the MIT Media Lab. This falls within our focus area of biosecurity and pandemic preparedness. The grant amount was updated in March 2023.
