[Navigating Transformative AI] Open Philanthropy gave a gift of $6,000,000 to the RAND Corporation, to be spent at the discretion of RAND president and CEO Jason Matheny. Matheny has allocated this funding to RAND’s Technology and Security Policy Center. This gift was recommended by Trevor Levin on our AI Governance and Policy team. It follows our July 2024 support and falls within our focus area of potential risks from advanced artificial intelligence.
