Evotec — Henipavirus Antivirals

[Science Supporting Biosecurity and Pandemic Preparedness] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $1,830,588 over two years to Evotec to support research to develop small-molecule antivirals against henipaviruses that have pandemic potential, such as the Hendra and Nipah viruses. This grant was funded via our request for proposals through the Pandemic Antiviral Discovery Initiative. It falls within our focus area of scientific research, specifically within our interest in science supporting biosecurity and pandemic preparedness. The grant amount was updated in April 2025.
