Notes
[Global Public Health Policy] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $740,000 to the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) to support its Clean Air Team, as well as conduct additional research on crop residue burning in the Indian state of Punjab. Crop residue burning is a large source of air pollution in North India. We believe that CEEW’s analysis will help track year-on-year progress and inform policy decisions on this issue. This follows our September 2022 support and falls within our focus area of Global Public Health Policy.
