Notes
[Farm Animal Welfare] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $363,054 over two years to the University of Stirling to support research led by Dr. Amaya Albalat to develop humane electrical stunning techniques for use in aquaculture. This research aims to inform possible future efforts to deploy humane stunning techniques in aquatic farms. This follows our March 2023 support and falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare, specifically within our interest in fish welfare.
